The 67th Railway Week was celebrated in Kolkata by the South Eastern Railway (SER) on Wednesday. SER General Manager Archana Joshi graced the occasion as the chief guest, with Additional General Manager Atulya Sinha and Senior Deputy General Manager Vijay Kumar Panjiar, along with all Principal Heads of the Departments, in attendance. Divisional Railway Managers of Kharagpur, Adra, Chakradharpur, and Ranchi were also present.
A total of 241 railway officers and staff, including Group Awardees, were felicitated for their exceptional services and dedication to duty during 2021-22. The Adra Division received the Overall Efficiency Shield for the best all-round performance, while Efficiency Shields in 28 other categories were awarded to various divisions, workshops, and stations.
Tatanagar station was recognized as the ‘Best Kept Station.’ In her address, Joshi highlighted SER’s accomplishments in both the freight and passenger sectors, emphasizing the importance of ensuring safety in train operations.
